If you grew up in the 60's or 70's or even the 80's you had to admit that music was better then.  The artists we better and the songs were better, and there was even more original performers.  But there is one thing that has completely changed over the years, and it is something that is specific to R&B and Soul Music in particular.  The change is so noticable and so out of place that R&B and Soul doesn't even seem to be the same at all.  What am I talking about......the absence of the White Soul Singer.

Since the 1950's until the 1980's White Soul Singers made their mark in black music.  It was always called"Blue Eyed Soul."  The most popular and greatest of this genre are a few names you shouldn't forget.  HALL & OATES, BOBBY CALDWELL, MICHAEL MCDONALD, AVERAGE WHITE BAND, TEENA MARIE, LISA STANSFIELD, AND BOZ SCAGGS.  There are too many to name and they should not be forgotten because today we only have one left, Robin Thicke.  Good luck with that.
