The water is flowing again in the Gatesville area, but customers are still under a boil order.

Service was lost Sunday evening when lightning struck a utility pole near Morgan’s Point, causing a power outage at an intake station. The damaged power line was repaired shortly before 7:30 p.m. Monday. A generator had been shipped from Houston to provide temporary power, but crews were able to complete repairs before it was needed.

Customers in the Gatesville area are being asked to conserve water until storage tanks are filled, and all tap water should be boiled before use until further notice.
