Killeen is back in the news for yet another shooting. KWTX's Tianna Jenkins reports that a man was in custody after two victims were found shot following a domestic dispute late Monday night.

Officers responded to reports of a fight in the 500 block of North 8th Street around 11:15 PM. When they arrived, they learned that the parties involved had left, and might be headed to the 1500 block of North College St.

As officers were en route to the second location, they were informed that another fight had taken place there and two people had been shot

A block from the location of the second fight, police spotted a vehicle described by witnesses of the first altercation. They stopped the vehicle and discovered that the 33-year-old driver, identified as Daniel Morgan, and a 12-year-old boy riding in the car had been shot.

The boy was transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Morgan was taken to Scott and White Medical Center in critical condition.

Three other children in the vehicle were not injured.

Police say the argument, which stemmed from a custody dispute, took place at 1703 North College Street. During the altercation, the shooting suspect, who is the fiance of the children's mother, drew a handgun and fired at the victims. He was arrested and charged with injury to a child. Other charges may be pending.

The case remained under investigation Tuesday.
