They're Back! They're Back!  Well actually they never went anywhere, it's just time to crawl all over the trucks again during Killeen's Truck Day.

This year it happens on Wednesday. March 18 at the Special Events Center, 3301 S. W.S. Young Drive.  Kids and grownups too can get an up-close look at all the trucks that keep Killeen moving.  You can crawl up inside, take pictures and pretend to drive.  I said Pretend to Drive.

Organized by the City of Killeen and the Friends of the Killeen Public Library, Truck Day provides a free, hands-on learning experience to kids during spring break. Children are encouraged to climb inside the trucks and learn about the functions and special operations of vehicles like fire trucks, ambulances and garbage trucks.

If you have a kid who is anxious to swim at Killeen's water park, that kid will have to wait til May.  But the Junior Service League Spray Park at Long Branch Park, (1101 Branch Drive), opened on Saturday.  I know, right!  It is not warm enough for me, but kids are crazy.  If you take them this week I bet they won't hesitate to get wet. The Spray Park is now open every day 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through October 1. It's free Spring Break fun for hot blooded kids.
