Truck Crash Closes Busy Temple Roadway [PHOTOS]

A truck crash shut down a portion of General Bruce Drive and Northwest HK Dodgen Loop near Temple Tuesday afternoon.

An 18-wheeler hauling bales of cotton somehow ended up on its side around 2:45 PM. North General Bruce was closed just north of the intersection until 6:18 PM, and Temple Fire & Rescue crews used an absorbent material to contain chemicals leaking from the damaged truck. The driver was not injured.

Temple police are investigating the crash.
