This week on #ThrowbackSunday we paid homage to all the girl groups of the 80's and 90's and we spun some classic jams from TLC, Destiny's Child, SWV, The Pointer Sisters and so many more, but our "Classic Pick Of The Week" is this funky and very HISTORIC cut from the Sugar Hill Label by a group named "The Sequence".

What makes this track historic? It's considered the first recorded "hip hop" record by a female group. The Sequence consisted of Cheryl The Pearl, Blondie and someone you may have heard of, her rap name at that time was "Angie B." but you know her now as Angie Stone.

You got 10 minutes, go ahead and let them "Funk You Right On Up" and join us every Sunday on Throwback Sunday with Melz & JoJo Paul starting at 2:00 PM!
