Last night's episode of ‘The Voice’ was short and sweet compared to Monday's season premiere. We saw about six really good contestants and there was fun banter between the judges. I still believe the chemistry between all four of them is forced but hopefully by the live shows, they'll all be more comfortable with one another.

The first standout performer was Josiah Hawley, who performed Maroon 5’s ‘Sunday Morning’ in front of lead singer Adam Levine. It took awhile for Adam to press the red button but eventually he did along with Usher and Blake Shelton. Even though Josiah gave his best Adam Levine impersonation, he went with Usher as his mentor. Ooh, sick burn!

The only contestant on the show that didn't get any judges to grab him for their team was poor Abraham McDonald, who served some Luther Vandross realness in his performance. He sang Beyonce’s ‘Best Thing I Never Had,’ which probably wasn’t the best song choice for his voice but he was definitely a decent singer. Unfortunately, he didn’t have ‘The Voice’ they were looking for.

Cathia brought a little flavor into the mix by performing ‘No Me Doy por Vencido,’ originally sung by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi. She had a very rich voice, great look and the total “it” factor. Blake, Usher and Shakira turned around for Cathia, but she chose Shakira.

The episode rounded off strong with Sarah Simmons singing ‘One of Us’ by Joan Osborne. Her electrifying rendition of the '90’s rock hit really got all the judges excited and wanting her on their team but she opted to be on Team Adam.
