Living in the White House is one of the rarest dreams Americans can turn into a reality. Not to say y'all aren't suited for the Oval Office, it's just that there have been 43 Presidents of the United States, so only 42 Presidents and their families have lived there. George Washington never resided in the White House as he oversaw construction.

Now that the history lesson is over, we get back to the point.

You can live in a replica of the White House located right in Houston. It is up for auction on December 8 at 7 p.m at Concierge Auctions. The previous listed price was a mere $5.499 million - I have a feeling it's going to be more expensive than that after all the recent renovations.

The 20,700 square foot mansion was commissioned by the 31st Texas Governor Ross Sterling and the doors were opened in 1927, according to Wide Open Country. For a time, this home was the largest in the lone star state.

Now the real White House is 55,000 square feet, but hey, almost half the size of the White House AND you're living in Texas? That's still a win-win in my book.
