During the heyday of the boy band era in music, with groups like Next, Boyz II Men, and Blackstreet offering up stiff competition, Jagged Edge cemented its hold in R&B as one of its top hitmakers and tonight's Jam of the Night topped the R&B charts in 2000 with this one.

Its just a simple love song. Not over the top, not too fast, not too slow....just right. That's all I could think of when I listen to this song, but you gotta love the harmony and flow of this...dare I say it...."classic"! This song helped propel "J.E. Heartbreak" to double platinum status and while J.E. is still working to this day, they can rest well knowing that we will always love "Promise".
