Thanks For All You Do

The Tom Joyner Morning show has been a staple of 103.1 KISS-FM since it came on the air in 2000. Over the years Tom has helped hundreds  through his foundation and sent numerous deserving students to historically black colleges and universities all over the country, and his good deeds continue. Tom has offered  Rachel Jeantel,Trayvon Martin's friend who gained national prominence after testifying  at George Zimmerman's murder trial,a full college scholarship to any historically black college in the  country.Tom said he became incredibly moved by Jeantel's apperance earlier this week on the Piers Morgan show on CNN."If there is something she wants to do,I want to help",he told Rachel that if she wanted to graduate and attend a historically black college,he would back her financially."I will help you get tutors to get out of high school,tutors to pass the SAT and I will give you a full ride scholarship to any HBCU." Rachel thanked Tom for his generous offer after appearing on his morning show earlier this week. On a personal note Tom is a friend who I have known for years from our days at WGCI in Chicago and it is indeed  a pleasure and honor to have him as the face of our radio station  weekday mornings 5-9am. Keep up the good work Tom and God bless you and your family as you continue your efforts to improve life in the black community one good deed after another.
