Texas Trooper Sues Over Snoop Photo

Remember a few months back, a Texas DPS Trooper by the name of Billy Spears was reprimanded for taking a photo with Snoop Dogg during SXSW because of Snoop's prior drug convictions? Well, Trooper Spears is filing a lawsuit against his superiors according to our news partner KWTX.

Spears filed the suit against DPS director Steven McCraw and several DPS executives alleging "retaliation" for a complaint Spears filed against a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission officer. Spears was reprimanded and ordered to undergo counseling. The suit seeks unspecified damages and a jury trial.
