Texas Students Can Apply for Don't Mess with Texas Scholarship

Getting through college with as little debt as possible may be the biggest challenge facing today's students, so every scholarship opportunity is a huge help.

Did you know TxDOT has offered a Don't Mess with Texas Scholarship since 2014? It's designed to reward public, private, and home school students who demonstrate leadership in preventing litter in their schools and communities.

This year, one $6,000 scholarship and two $2,000 scholarships are up for grabs for any students planning to attend an accredited Texas college or university next year.

Applicants will need to submit an essay explaining their creative and sustainable ideas for preventing litter and raising awareness of the Don't Mess with Texas campaign.
