Temple Warming Centers Are Open for the Homeless

The Temple Office of Emergency Management activated emergency warming
centers last night  to provide a temporary warming space for homeless or distressed persons in the city. The warming centers are open from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. the next morning. The locations: Victory Ministries, 305 South 18th Street for men  and  Humble House, 613 South 7th Street for families . Additional resources are available should the current locations meet capacity.  Guests will be provided a warm area for refuge, water, blankets, toilet facilities, and limited hygiene items. Once activated, information on warming centers is available by contacting 211. Information is also being posted in public city facilities, at the Temple Help Center, the Salvation Army, and on Local Government Access Channel 10.
