Temple Warming Center is Open for the Night (Jan 6-7)

Temple’s Emergency Warming Center is open for the homeless again tonight.

The Warming Center location for men is at the Transformation Station, 503 East Central Avenue.

Resources are available to provide a warming location for women and children if needed. The warming center will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., January 6-7, 2014.

Warming centers are possible due to the efforts of the City of Temple Office of Emergency Management (OEM), the not-for-profit Temple Emergency Warming Center Coalition (TEWCC), and the 2-1-1 System.

Once activated, information on warming centers is available by contacting 211.

If you know someone who needs to be in the warming shelter please take them there, or call 211.
