Police in Temple are investigating after a shooting victim drove up to a Scott and White Hospital and collapsed early Friday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the hospital around 12:22 a.m. When they arrived, they found a gray Lincoln sedan parked in front of the entrance to the emergency room with the driver's side door open. The driver's side window was reportedly broken, and there was blood on that side of the car.

Witnessed told officers that a man drove up to the emergency room entrance and collapses after exiting the car. He was rushed inside for treatment. Hospital staff said the man suffered wounds to the head, face, and neck.

The victim remained hospitalized Friday with significant injuries. His car has been impounded as evidence.
