A Temple man was indicted Wednesday after confessing to stabbing a man with a three-bladed knife.

The incident occurred in the 400 block of South Sixth Street in Temple on Sept. 17. 51-year-old Douglas William Warden allegedly assaulted Curtis Dombey with a handclaw weapon featuring three blades. Dombey reported the incident at the Temple Police Department, where officers observed that he has cuts on his arm and head.

The assault took place in a shed where an investigating officer found Warden lying on a mattress. According to a police report, Warden immediately told the officer that he was the one the officer was looking for.

Warden was indicted by a Bell County grand jury on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
