Temple police are investigating after an angry driver threatened another motorist with a handgun following a near collision at an intersection Saturday night.

The incident began around 7:40 p.m. after a driver honked at a Ford sedan that failed to yield at the intersection of South 31st Street and West Avenue M. After the first driver honked, the driver of the Ford slowed to let him pass. As the cars were parallel, the driver of the Ford pointed a pistol with a laser sight at the first driver.

The driver of the Ford pointed the gun again after the other motorist slowed to let him pass at the next intersetion.

Police have located a vehicle matching the Ford's description and identified the occupants. No arrests have been reported, and the incident remains under investigation.
