Temple Crime Blotter Report- Aggravated Assault With a Firearm

Two unidentified male suspects entered the residence of a 41-year-old male victim. The victim was struck several times in the head and face before the suspects, who were wearing black clothing and masks, fled the scene. Investigations are continuing.

Other incidents include:

• A felony theft of two Freightliner company trucks and two flatbeds from the property of ShilliLeasing is being investigated
• An instance of forgery in which an unknown suspect stole checks and used them for an undisclosed amount is being investigated
• Lionell Simmons was arrested for family violence and assault by threat after a victim reported that a verbal argument became violent and Simmons threatened bodily harm
• Kenneth Rector was arrested for reckless driving when Temple officers observed him driving at a high speed
• The forced entry into Lakeview Baptist Church by an unknown suspect is being investigated
