Teens from all across Killeen and the Central Texas area gathered to meet with community leaders to discuss issues that today's youth are facing at AYADD's annual Youth Summit.

Sandra Minor, the founder of AYADD Outreach along with her husband Carl, hosted the event at the Rivers Of Living Waters Church on Saturday and it featured a host of guest speakers including community leaders like Copperas Cove Mayor Frank Seffrood, Killeen City Council Members Steve Harris, Debbie Nash-King, Gregory Johnson, KISD Deputy Superintendent Dr. Desmontes Stewart, Killeen Police Chief Charles Kimble, Killeen Mayor Jose Segarra and MyKiss 1031's own Melz On The MIC and Phyllis Jones.

The students held breakout sessions to discuss several issues including Human Trafficking, Communication in the cyberspace age, self-worth and more. Mayor Segarra presented Mrs. Minor with a proclamation declaring Feb. 17th "AYADD Outreach Youth Summit Day" in Killeen. We want to thank Mr. & Mrs. Minor and the AYADD Outreach team for all the great work they continue to do on behalf of the youth of Central Texas.
