The first and only album ever recorded by Prince's first girl group, Vanity 6, arrived in August 1982.

Prince was clearly affected by the news that his onetime lover and former protege Vanity had died and paid tribute to the fallen star.

According to TMZ, former lead singer of Vanity 6, Vanity whose real name is Denise Katrina Matthews passed away at the age of 57 after a battle with an intestinal disease. Vanity first rose to prominence as a singer in "Vanity 6" a group mentored and created by Prince and the group crafted a few hit records including "Nasty Girl" in 1982...
