Police in Temple are seeking a robbery suspect, following an incident at a Temple apartment complex on Sunday.

On Sunday at 11:50 p.m., Temple Police responded to the parking lot of Summit Ridge Apartments, in reference to a robbery.

Officers arrived and met with the 21 year old female victim.  The victim advised she had arrived in the parking area of the complex at about 11:30 pm.  She stated that a black male approached her vehicle and knocked on the driver’s side window.  The unknown male claimed to have an emergency, and asked the victim for the use of her cellular telephone.  The victim handed her telephone to the male, and he produced a handgun from his pocket.  The suspect demanded the victim’s wallet and money.  The victim removed an undetermined amount of US Currency from her wallet and gave it to the suspect.  The suspect was last seen entering an older model tan four door vehicle which fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle or the male.

The suspect is described as a clean shaven black male with a dark complexion. He stood about 6 foot, and is described as having a “medium” build.  He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
