Well, this is NOT news we wanted to hear to start the new year. Natalie Cole, daughter of Nat King Cole, passed away in a Los Angeles hospital at the age of 65 after battling health issues for months according to The New York Daily News.

Cole became a star in her own right with after her legendary father's passing with many of her own hits such as "This Will Be (Everlasting Love)", "I'm
Catching Hell" and "Our Love". In the 90's, she scored another chart topper with a remastered remake of "Unforgettable" duet with her late father.  We send our heartfelt condolences to her friends and fans.
