It's no secret that our neck of the woods in Central Texas is growing at an incredible rate over the last decade, but when you look at this Google Earth Timelapse map of Copperas Cove and Killeen over the last 30 years, you realize that the growth has been amazing!

This map shows how Killeen and Copperas Cove have grown since 1984. When you hold the slider over the year 2000, that's when you begin to notice major changes starting to take shape in both cities. Of course the early 2000's where around the time of the "real estate" boom and over the next few years you see a lot of residential areas beginning to pop up. You can also see where the Killeen/Fort Hood Regional Airport begins to take shape on the map as well.

The thing that amazes me is that we still haven't lost of sense of "community" despite all this growth! Its one of the many reasons why we love Central Texas and why we call it home!
