Rihanna Gives Motivational Message in 2013 Grammy Awards Teaser Video
The 2013 Grammy Awards are less than two months away and Rihanna is sharing in the excitement for music's biggest night.
The 'Unapologetic' creator has released a video teaser for the ceremony, where she will be performing. The inspiring clip visualizes a symbolic short walk through a backstage area, which Rihanna narrates. Viewed through the singer's eyes, she makes her way close to center stage, ready to perform.
While she contemplates critics' doubts, she eventually proclaims a win over all of them, concluding her short spiel with a motivational message. "We all start somewhere, it's where you end up that counts," she states. Rihanna's track 'Stay,' off 'Unapologetic,' is featured at the video's end.
Rihanna is nominated for two Grammys this year. She earns a nod for Best Pop Solo Performance for 'Where Have You Been.' Her competitors in that category include Adele for 'Set Fire to the Rain (Live),' Kelly Clarkson for 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You),' Katy Perry for 'Wide Awake' and Carly Rae Jepsen for 'Call Me Maybe.'
She is also up for a Best Short Film Video award for 'We Found Love' featuring Calvin Harris. Others nominated in the category are Foster the People's 'Houdini,' Jay-Z and Kanye West's 'No Church in the Wild,' M.I.A.'s 'Bad Girls' and Woodkid's 'Run Boy Run.'
Tune in to the 55th Annual Grammy Awards Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. on CBS to see if the 25-year-old walks away with a win.
