Sex trafficking is an underground issue that must be unearthed and made public. That's exactly what the Harris County sheriff's and district attorney's office have been aiming to do since conducting "Operation Traveling Circus" since early January of this year.

Recent charges of 138 alleged suspects have been rounded up in a Houston sex trafficking strike, which now totals more than 400 since operations began.

Customers and traffickers were arrested by using photographs of suspects soliciting prostitution. However many of these photographs will not be released to the public since many are believed to also be victims of the industry. Authorities have made known that efforts to halt illegal sex trafficking will continue and expect to see an uptick in activity on account of major sports events coming to the Houston area.
