The Postal Service plans to stop  Saturday delivery of first class mail beginning the first week of August, a move that will save $2 billion annually and once again these cuts are because Congress is dragging its feet in authorizing a structural overhaul that could stabilize the agency. Saturday mail delivery  has been a part of America ever since i was a kid and in fact Saturday delivery goes back some 100 years and some experts say ending Saturday delivery will not significantly stop the financial problems and some critics  say the move could backfire if customers become irritated in an erosion of service. There's still time to write your congressman and voice your thoughts on this move, but  the history of this congress doesn't give you much reason for hope does it?
