Portion of 190 Shut Down after Thursday Night Collision

UPDATE: Police have confirmed that a pedestrian was hit and killed. As reported by KWTX, the deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Tiffany Nicole Waff of Killeen. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver who struck her - 18-year-old Laundra Tionna White of Killeen - was not injured. She will not face any charges.

We hope anyone trying to cross our local roadways will remember to use designated crosswalks or overpasses. It's not losing your life and potentially injuring others.

Eastbound lanes of Highway 190 between Copperas Cove and Killeen were closed Thursday night after a traffic collision.

KWTX reports that the closure was in effect near Central Texas College as police investigated an accident that occurred around 9 PM. KWTX reporters at the scene said they witnessed what appeared to be a pedestrian in the road.
