Phylicia Rashad to Play Lesbian in Newest Role

Phylicia Rashad, one of TV's all-time favorite moms, will play a lesbian FBI agent on the new television series 'For Justice.'

Phylicia Rashad will play Georgina Howe on the show which is directed by Ava DuVernay, who was nominated for an Oscar for the movie, 'Selma.'

Will this role as a homosexual ruin her legacy as Mrs. Huxtable on 'The Cosby Show?' I don't think so.

Her character is a savvy Washington player who has faced discrimination for her race and sexual orientation, and fights to protect the independence and integrity of her high-profile Civil Rights Division.
