America's food stamp program was created to help those who need the help the most, but what about pets? What happens to those animals whose owners simply can't afford to pay for expensive cuisine? A new program called Pet Food Stamps has launched an initiative from private donations to help those who cannot afford the high cost of pet food. The organization's goal is to assist low-income Americans who are already struggling to put food on their tables.Others would argue that those who cannot afford to feed themselves shouldn't have pets anyway. As of this date 45,000 pets have been signed up and that's  only in the first two weeks of the program.Pet Food Stamps is available to any family in the U.S.  and after being approved ,families will receive pet food for a six-month period.
