Passersby Lift Bus Off Trapped Students

Two college students are recovering after they were hit by a bus last week, thanks to passersby who lifted the bus right off of them. It happened in Pune, India.

The two were riding a motorcycle when they were hit. (The bus driver says his brakes went out).

Both of them were  trapped under the bus.  More than 50 people started pushing on one side of the bus, until it was up on two wheels.  Then someone pulled the students out and they were rushed to local hospitals where they are recovering.

The driver meanwhile, even though his brakes failed, is still in trouble for driving recklessly and hitting two people.
