Little known fact: Before joining Drake’s OVO Sound label, PARTYNEXTDOOR released some earlier music under the name Jahron B (an abbreviation of his real name Jahron Brathwaite). Fellow Toronto singer Rochelle Jordan remixed one of those songs and put her spin on it.

The PARTYNEXTDOOR tune 'Let It Rain' gets reinterpreted by Jordan with 'R A I N.' Over an infectious trap beat, bouncy synths and soft guitars, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Jordan sing about overcoming obstacles in order to achieve their dreams.

"All I need is some weed and some space for mediation / As I proceed to succeed / Got my cry from my decisions," PARTY sings, adding, "Gotta let it rain / 'Cause to chase my dreams I got to let it rain."

Meanwhile, Jordan welcomes her success while at the same time ignoring the naysayers.

"I don’t need nobody just tell me that I’m somebody / Riding in my own Bugatti / Straight up to the lobby / While the crowd waits for me, this ain’t no hobby," she sings.

'R A I N' is a wonderfully smoothed out aspirational song that will get you motivated to go out and pursue your dreams.

Also, the track is a great introduction to the angelic voice of Rochelle Jordan. If you want to hear more of her music, check out her Soundcloud page.

PARTYNEXTDOOR’s earlier songs -- pre-OVO Sound label -- can be found on the 75-song mixtape 'The Jahron B Collection,' compiled by the good folks at Kanye to Tha. The tape features guest vocals from Bobby Valentino, Bruno Mars and J.R. Richy.
