One Injured in Monday Morning Shooting on Estes Drive in Killeen

Killeen police are investigating a shooting that resulted in a man being hospitalized Monday morning.

Kathleen Serie with KWTX reports that police were called to a home in the 1300 block of Estes Drive around 7:40 AM. There, they found a 35-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Details are scarce, but witnesses inside the home said they heard gunshots, found the victim, and dialed 911.

The victim was first transported to Killeen's Central Fire Station before being airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

The shooting remained under investigation late Monday morning.
