When I am on the air I get a lot of requests for more Old School Music.  Most of the time these requests come from those who grew up with the Old School Classics.  Then again I get a lot of requests for more of the New School R&B.   What is surprising is the fact that those who want to hear more New School are also those who grew up listening to the Old School Classics. I don't know what causes the variation in both groups growing up in the same era and yet half of the group grows to appreciate the new R&B, and the other half, well, not so much.  Is this a new phenomenon or is this the way it has always been?
