Nicki Minaj Becomes First Woman to Have Four Songs Simultaneously on Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Top 10
The four tunes that put her in this position include The Pinkprint tracks "Truffle Butter" and "Feeling Myself" featuring Beyonce, which reached No. 1 and No. 10, respectively, on the tally. The other two are Rae Sremmurd's "Throw Sum Mo," which rose from No. 4 to No. 3, and “Only" featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, & Chris Brown, which dropped from eighth to ninth place but still strong enough to stay in the Top 10.
The only two other artists who have ever reached this feat were, coincidentally, her Young Money partners Drake and Lil Wayne. In addition, Minaj also became the first female artist to chart three Top 10 songs with her as the lead artist. Fellow R&B songbirds Ashanti, Beyonce and Rihanna have all had three tracks simultaneously make the Top 10 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop airplay chart. However, not all the tracks featured them as the lead artists.
Chart achievements aside, the "Anaconda" rapper just announced the North American dates for her Pinkprint Tour, which kicks off on July 17 in Dallas, Texas. Rae Sremmurd, Meek Mill, Tinashe and Dej Loaf will be joining as support for the tour. You can read the full list of dates here.
