We've already seen a great deal of footage from the upcoming 'Need for Speed' movie through trailers and behind-the-scenes action, but now DreamWorks has dropped the first 'Need for Speed' poster.

As Aaron Paul breaks away from his Jesse Pinkman days on 'Breaking Bad,' he takes the lead role of Tobey Marshall in 'Need for Speed,' based on the popular video game franchise and featuring a story of revenge:

Framed for a crime he didn’t commit, muscle car mechanic and street racer Tobey gets out of prison determined to settle the score with the man responsible for his false conviction. Tobey tears up the road in a gritty cross-country journey— one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption.

From what we've seen of 'Need for Speed,' Paul in this particular leading role isn't the simplest pill to swallow, though hopefully the previews aren't too reflective of the final product. After all, Paul's villainous co-star Dominic Cooper previously told ScreenCrush that this Scott Waugh-directed film is "reminiscent of those classic ’70s, proper car-racing films," which probably explains the classic poster art.

'Need for Speed' will rev into theaters come March 14, 2014, but until then, check out the first poster (courtesy of IMDb) below.
