Ne-Yo is a busy guy. Not only does he have a new album, titled 'R.E.D.' (an acronym for "Realizing Every Dream"), set for release in November, he also used his magic pen to write a few songs with Rihanna.

The R&B crooner revealed to Rap-Up that they reunited in the studio and recorded a couple of songs for the Bajan songbird's upcoming seventh album. "I did go in the studio with her," he said. "I know I got one or two on the album that she's definitely keeping."

Although details remain scarce about Rihanna's new album, she just announced that she will premiere her new single, 'Diamonds,' on the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show on Wednesday at 8AM ET. The song reportedly was written by Sia (of Flo Rida's 'Wild Ones' fame), and co-produced by Benny Blanco and Stargate. "The lyrics are very hopeful and positive...and it's about love," Ri-Ri says of the song.

As for Ne-Yo, he's gearing up to drop 'R.E.D.' on Election Day (Nov. 6). The 'Let Me Love You' singer is confident that both his R&B fans and pop fans will enjoy the music on the collection.

"This album is a celebration of my first love, which is music," he says. "This is the most balanced album that I’ve ever done. My diehard R&B fans as well as my diehard pop fans, everybody’s gonna be able to get into this album because it is an equal balance of both genres."
