My vote won’t make a difference… Really???

While working a door detail for the NAACP this past Sunday,, we encountered a young woman with three little kids in tow and asked her had she voted.  She replied very non-chalantly that she had not.  When asked why she had not voted, she said it would not affect her.  When she was told that it might not affect her, but would affect her little ones, she replied that it would not affect them.  We have had seminars, political forums, question and answer sessions, and a host of other activities to educate and inform the community about voting and their right to vote, however, it doesn't  seem to matter how much free information we give out, some people are unreceptive or unwilling to grasp it.  Ironically, as we were walking away, the young lady asked how can she find out if she's registered to vote.  :0/
