Melz Reviews “Top Five”

We all know Chris Rock is an amazing Stand-up comic and "Top Five" showcases not only what we already knew about Rock as a stand-up but also his "serious" acting range.

In "Top Five", Rock plays a stand-up comedian who's struggling with fame and all the trappings that come with it. It features an all-star cast including Cedric The Entertainer, JB Smoove, the beautiful Rosario Dawson (who's fantastic as always) and special cameos by comedy greats like Jerry Seinfeld, Whoopi Goldberg and Adam Sandler.

If you are going into this movie expecting a "LOL- fest", then you will be very mistaken. This is a more serious look at the dark side of comedy, as Rock's character battles with personal demons but it is VERY hilarious at times. If you are looking for a great distraction this weekend from all the news about "police brutality" or just a great "date night" movie, then I STRONGLY recommend this one! Check out the trailer!
