Lauryn Hill Avoids Jail

Lauryn Hill was due to be sentenced today,after pleading guilty of not paying her taxes for 2005-2007, but her lawyers bought her a couple weeks of freedom by working out a deal with the government,giving her a chance to pay her $ 968.000 tax bill. She has until May 6th  before her next court appearance.Hill recently signed a million dollar recording contract with Sony records,she faces several years in prison,but is hoping for probation.
