Killeen Independent School District voted 4-3 to approve construction of two locker rooms at Hood Stadium.

The vote approves spending approximately $358,000 to build two stand-alone buildings to house KISD football teams and their opponents. The decision came after the district voted unanimously to approve an agreement with Fort Hood which allows the district to lease the stadium for games.

Opponents to the decision cited the cost of a project at a facility which the district does not own.

The additions are expected to be completed on August 27, and the first game is scheduled for August 30.
