A Killeen woman's Facebook post about a decoration at Hobby Lobby has started to gain national attention.

On September 14, Daniell Rider posted a photo of a display featuring raw cotton plants in glass vases. The photo was accompanied by the following caption:

This decor is WRONG on SO many levels. There is nothing decorative about raw cotton... A commodity which was gained at the expense of African-American slaves.

A little sensitivity goes a long way.

PLEASE REMOVE THIS "decor".

As of this article's publication, the post had been shared 17,574 times, though not everyone who's shared it agrees with Rider's sentiments.

Comments range from people saying Rider is reading too much into the decoration to people jokingly thanking Rider for alerting them to the item's availability. A few comments have been supportive of Rider.

Over the past few days, the post has caught the attention of national news organizations, including Yahoo News. It's also become joke fodder for conservative websites, such as The Blaze and Western Journalism.

What do you think? Does Rider have a point, or are people correct in saying she's overreacting?
