Killeen Woman Arrested After Allegedly Breaking Into Neighbor’s Apartment

Police have charged 20-year-old Jessica Renee Cheeks with burglary of a habitation after she allegedly broke into a neighbor’s apartment and stole several items of clothing and accessories.

Police received a call about the burglary in the 3400 block of Atkinson Drive on July 11. The suspect allegedly entered the home by breaking the glass of a back door, then stole purses, wallets, shoes, clothing and wigs.

The victim of the robbery tipped police off to Cheek’s possible involvement on June 21st after Cheek’s roommate told her Cheeks was in possession of her property. Police say several of the items stolen from the apartment were found in Cheek’s home.

Cheeks was arraigned Tuesday, with bail set at $50,000.
