Killeen Traffic Closures & Updates

As we continue to grow here in Central Texas, it also means there's growing pains and headaches we all have to deal with. So, be prepared for what's in store this week as you hit the streets of "The K" with information provided to us by The City of Killeen.

Southbound W.S. Young Lane Closure
"Southbound W.S. Young Drive, from Bacon Ranch Road to Little Nolan Road, will be reduced to one lane Monday. This closure affects the outside lane and will be in place for approximately one month. Motorists should exercise caution, expect delays and pay close attention to construction signage and workers while in the area."

Rosewood Drive Update
"The Rosewood Drive extension is nearing completion, and new traffic signals have been installed. Signals on east and westbound US 190 frontage roads at Rosewood Drive and on FM 2410 at Rosewood Drive are now flashing yellow. The new signals will remain in flashing mode for several weeks to allow motorists to become accustomed to their presence. Regular signal intervals will begin when Rosewood Drive is opened in September."

Stagecoach Road Project Update
"Stagecoach Road, from Trimmier Road to SH 195, is now open. The next segment of Phase 2 of the Stagecoach Road Reconstruction Project begins Tuesday. Stagecoach Road will be closed from Bowfield Drive to W.S. Young Drive through March 2016. All traffic will be detoured for the duration of the project. The detour route will be from Bowfield Drive to Shawlands Road to Featherline Road to Llewellyn Drive. The Stagecoach Road Reconstruction Project will widen Stagecoach Road to five lanes with a continuous center turn lane from the Harker Heights city limit to State Highway 195. The entire project is scheduled for completion late next year."
