Well this is interesting, especially for those of us living in Killeen who can attest to the polar opposite of this report.

Allstate Insurance recently ranked the 200 biggest cities in the country from best to worst drivers based on claims data, and Killeen saw a big bump up in its ranking from a year ago.

Killeen is currently ranked as 73rd overall in the country with the safest drivers, which is up from 99th in 2017.

Several Texas cities managed to crack the Top 100 including Brownsville, which ranked at #1 - the city with the safest drivers in the country.

Here's how other Texas cities ranked:

  • BROWNSVILLE - 1
  • LAREDO - 6
  • MIDLAND - 7
  • MCALLEN - 10
  • AMARILLO - 18
  • CORPUS CHRISTI - 27
  • EL PASO - 47
  • LUBBOCK - 49
  • WACO - 84
  • PASADENA - 91

Keep up the good work Killeen, and take that Temple and Belton!
