A terrifying encounter in Killeen early Friday morning is now under investigation.

As reported by our news partner, KWTX, police responded to a 911 call from the 1300 block of Willow Springs Road shortly after 1 AM.

The victim of an alleged carjacking told officers he parked his gray Toyota Corolla outside a friend's apartment building, then returned to the vehicle after knocking on the friend's door and getting no response.

As the victim approached his vehicle, a man got out of it, pointed a handgun at the victim, and demanded his keys and wallet. The suspect then drove north on Willow Springs.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a black man wearing a gray hoodie and standing 5'7”.
