A 20-year-old man is dead after being shot during an argument on Buckley Drive Sunday night.

Police found the victim lying in the street in the 1500 block of Buckley at 11:15 PM. An investigation revealed that he'd been been shot during an argument with another man in the area of Clarawood and Buckley.

The victm was taken to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, then airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple where he later passed away as a result of a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at 2:43 AM Monday by Justice of the Peace G.W. Ivey, who ordered the man's remains sent to the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas for autopsy.

The victim's name has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.

A male suspect was later arrested and transported to the Killeen City Jail. His name is also being withheld until formal charges are brought forward by the Bell County District Attorney's Office.
