A high speed chase ended in a crash which injured the driver of the pursued car.

The chase started on Thursday morning after police tried to stop the driver on FM 2410 for a traffic violation. The driver did not pull over and officers pursued.

The man led police west on U.S. Highway 190, reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour. His car crashed into a fence on Basset Drive after the driver missed a curve. The driver tried to escape on foot, but was caught by officers.

Methamphetamines were found in the car.

The car caught fire after the crash, but firefighters were able to stop the flames.

The driver was treated for minor injuries on the scene and taken to Bell County Jail. His name has not yet been released and charges are pending.
