Rapper Kid Cudi gave concertgoers quite a scare when he fainted during his headlining set at the North Coast Music Festival in Chicago on Saturday (Aug. 30).

According to Billboard, while the Cudder was performing his 2009 song 'Pursuit of Happiness,' he jumped off the stage and started interacting with the fans in the front row. He then stopped to autograph a sign from one person and then suddenly he fell to the ground. The harrowing incident was all captured on video.

Thankfully, security guards were on hand and they quickly carried Cudi's limped body backstage for medical treatment.

Afterward, Cudi went on Twitter to inform his fans that he was okay and will be back performing again shortly.

"I'm Okay!" he tweeted. "To everyone who f---ing came out tonight, wow. All the love, Just way too overwhelming." He then added, "Blessed to have fans who actually give a f--- about me.

Cudi also thanked the security team for their assistance and vowed to eat and drink plenty of fluids before a show. He tweeted:

We are happy that Kid Cudi is feeling much better. Let this be a lesson for other performers -- stay hydrated when you are on tour.
