This week's Throwback Jam with JoJo comes from 1978 fresh off his leaving Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, Teddy Pendergrass began his reign as "King of R&B" and what some reporters called "The Black Elvis" with a funky disco classic encouraging you to "Get Up, Get Down, Get Funky and Get Loose".

From his second album "Life Is A Song Worth Singing" in 1978, which was a part of a string of 4 consecutive platinum album releases (a record for an R&B artist at that time) from Pendergrass between 1977 and 1981, "Get Down..." would be his most popular "dance" hit in clubs.

Join us for Throwback Sunday with Melz & JoJo Paul starting at 2:00 PM spinning the jams from the 80's and 90's and back in the day only on Kiss-FM!
