Johnny Kemp 1959-2015

R&B singer Johnny Kemp, who is famous for his smash hit single "Just Got Paid" passed away yesterday according to Bahamas Weekly. He was 55.

Johnny Kemp was born in The Bahamas and started singing at 13 before moving to the U.S. in 1979. He released his self-titled debut album in 1986 but it was his 1987 hit "Just Got Paid" that took him to the top of the R&B charts. Mr. Kemp is survived by his wife and two sons.
